For this reason the filming and study of these magnificent creatures can be extremely dangerous. Watch this amazing footage of cameraman Gordon Buchanan come face to face with a fierce 1,000 kg polar bear looking for its next meal. The bear tried persistently for 45-minutes to break the perspex cage house and get to the cameraman. A bear of this stature is extremely powerful and this must have been quite a terrifying experience for Gordon.
